Please introduce yourself.

Gui Pizzolato, Pizzolato Amplifiers.

What do you make?

Tube amps.

Why do you make what you do?

Because I literally love creating and wiring amplifiers.

What was the first piece of guitar gear that excited or inspired you?

The first distortion pedal I ever built, a simple distortion circuit from the seventies called Electra Distortion. That was back in the year 2000. I got so excited and I couldn't stop cloning pedals and then evolving into amps.

What’s your current favourite piece of guitar gear?

Black Mountain Custom Amps - BM5T. That is the "prototype" of my first ever production amp.

What have you been listening to lately?

Bands: Lake Street Dive, Khruangbin, Lari Basilio, Maccan... and a bunch of other older songs thar bring me good memories.

Ideally, where do you see yourself/company/brand in 5 years?

I see myself doing the exact same thing, i.e. building, hand wiring and running the company on my own but hopefully selling at least 4 amps per month.
